Jehay Castle
Jehay Castle

A castle where you can encounter Art, History and Nature.

You will find Jehay Castle in the midst of a wooded setting. This imposing XVth century building, surrounded by a moat, suddenly appears - rather like a dream. Classified as Walloon Heritage the architecture of the Castle is outstanding and unique in Europe.

Remarkable for its chequered stone façade, Jehay Castle takes the visitor on an incredible journey through the Arts. The very special atmosphere of the place gives you a taste of the refined life of the Castle : furnishing, silverware, paintings, tapesteries, ceramics, books,...

Liège Province, owners of the Castle since January 2000, has carried out a lot of work on the restauration of the out-buildings. Now the old stables are accessible and present varied exhibitions. Up until 2013 the sketches of Paul Delvaux are on show. An exhibition not to be missed!
Jehay Castle also presents seasonal features such as the Easter game (Jeu de Pâques), the Night Event (Nocturne) Halloween and numerous others.
