Located at twenty minutes at southern of Brussels, in the lovely Solvay Park, the farm of the La Hulpe Castle houses the Folon Foundation. Designed and created by Jean-Michel Folon, it represents more than 40 years of creative work in a lively and original scenography, designed by the Belgian artist himself. He opens his life book for us .. Through the chapters the visitor discovers the multiple facets of his art and his world; an exhibition of more than 500 works with watercolours, silkscreen-prints, etchings, posters, objects, stained glass, sculptures, Music, movies, optical effects, animated an interactive tour: one penetrates into an giant book, enters into the head of the blue man, loses oneself in mirror games, finds endless posters, discovers the secrets of the artist's studio and ends the tour under a myriad of stars. After your visit dawdle through the 220 hectares of the green Solvay estate, with its varied landscapes enriched by quite lakes and amazing flora and fauna. The Folon Foundation also invites you to organise your conferences, seminars, receptions and other meetings in an area with real charm on the first floor of the farm. You can also make arrangements for evening events and visit the museum with experienced guides, in the language of your choice.
For refreshments and snacks, we propose flexible menus and the creative touch of Caterer "Vandevelde", who supplies a large choice of bio products and original suggestions, together with classic arrangements.

    La Fondation Folon vous propose de découvrir une exposition sur les œuvres de l'artiste argentin Antonio Seguí. À La Hulpe, du 14 octobre au 4 février 2018.

    L'artiste originaire de Cordoba, en Argentine

    Antonio Seguí est un artiste argentin né à Cordoba en 1934. Élève appliqué aux Beaux-Arts à Paris, c'est dans la Ville Lumière qu'il s'installa définitivement après de nombreux voyages. Le peintre est fortement connu pour son bonhomme de Seguí, le chapeau avenant, la démarche assurée qui traîne chien et gens bizarroïdes.

    Seguí à la Fondation Folon

    La Fondation vous propose de découvrir l'univers pictural débordant de vivacité, d'acuité, de générosité et d'étonnement étonnant du peintre-sculpteur. L'artiste argentin revisite une exposition rétrospective à sa manière au travers d'une centaine d'oeuvres. Du fusains aux pastels en passant par les collages, les encres, les peintures et les sculptures, le monde d'Antonio Seguí n'aura plus de secret pour vous.

    « Je dessine ni pour préparer un tableau, ni pour reproduire une scène réelle. Mais je dessine pour dessiner. Et dessiner est un besoin, cela fait du bien ! ». Antonio Seguí
