This ancient site was, in turn, a Neolithic dwelling, Roman oppidum and house of the Frankish kings. Set overlooking the town and river Ourthe, in deepest countryside, it has earned La Roche the fitting nickname of "Jewel of the Ardennes". Falconry shows and medieval entertainment in summer. "Ghost Shows" on summer evenings. Historical fair on the 1st weekend of August.
