The Lakes of Eau d’Heure, a great breath of nature and freedom in Wallonia

At the Lakes of Eau d’Heure, time naturally slows down. Nestled within a natural setting of 1,800 hectares, made up of 600 hectares of water, 600 of woodland and 600 of meadows, this site forms the largest body of water in Belgium. An open and vibrant territory where people come to enjoy the simple pleasure of being outdoors, with family or friends, for a day or much longer.

A vast playground in nature, on foot, by bike or on the water

Here, everyone finds their own way to enjoy the surroundings. The paths invite visitors to explore on foot, by bike or by mountain bike, along the shores and peaceful viewpoints. On the water, the range of activities is impressive: kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, jet skiing, diving The lakes become a true space of freedom, where you glide, paddle, splash or simply take in the scenery.

On land and among the trees, the adventure continues with golf, footgolf, electric scooters, outdoor activities and spaces to stay active. A place where boredom simply does not exist, whatever your energy level for the day.

Relaxation, wellbeing and simple pleasures

The Lakes of Eau d’Heure are also about the art of slowing down. Between activities, visitors can take a break at the Wellness Centre, release tension and breathe deeply. Welcoming terraces offer the chance to enjoy a meal or a drink in a relaxed atmosphere, overlooking the water or surrounded by greenery.

The atmosphere is friendly and unhurried: you move from active moments to quiet contemplation, carried by the calm of the landscape and the feeling of being somewhere far away without leaving Wallonia.

Explore, understand and be amazed

The site also offers more unusual experiences. Discovering the inner workings of the largest dam in Belgium is both intriguing and impressive, offering a different perspective on this territory shaped by both humans and nature. For an even more original approach, the amphibious bus allows visitors to move from road to water in a single journey, combining surprise with wonder.

A destination for everyone, all year round

Often described as magnificent by visitors, the site stands out for its diversity and ease of access. Whether you come for a spontaneous day trip, a weekend or a stay of several days, the Lakes of Eau d’Heure offer that rare feeling of immediate escape.
