The Cordaneum - Museum of Violin Making and the Violin

The Cordaneum, in Marloie (Marche-en-Famenne), is a living museum dedicated to the art of stringed instrument making for string quartets: violin, viola, cello, and double bass.
The result of a collaboration between the town of Marche-en-Famenne and master luthier Gauthier Louppe, it reveals the secrets of violin making: from the choice of wood to the final varnishing.
Discover a unique collection of antique and modern instruments in a warm atmosphere that combines craftsmanship and heritage.
Located in the Vieille Cense de Marloie, a stone's throw from the train station, the Cordaneum is a cultural and educational experience.
