A perfect place if you enjoy gourmet experiences, human encounters and visits that awaken curiosity as much as the senses, to enjoy with family, as a couple or with friends, during a getaway in Belgium.
From the moment you step into the Belgian Chocolate Village, the air fills with a familiar and comforting aroma. Housed in the former Art Deco Victoria chocolate factory, this unique venue invites visitors to discover chocolate in a different way, in an authentic setting where industrial heritage meets gourmet pleasure. Here, everything begins with the senses—especially the unmistakable scent of chocolate that instantly brings a smile.
The visit takes place in a remarkable building that reflects the craftsmanship of another era. The director’s office, almost perfectly preserved, fascinates visitors just as much as the original safe still in place—a subtle reminder of a time when chocolate was already considered a treasure. The Art Deco architecture, expressed through elegant lines, volumes and decorative details, provides a warm and refined setting for exploration.
The educational route guides visitors through the history of chocolate, its origins and its transformations, while remaining accessible and enjoyable for both children and adults. You move at your own pace, driven by curiosity and the desire to learn more.
The surprise continues inside a tropical greenhouse, recalling the distant origins of cocoa and adding an exotic touch to the experience. Then comes one of the most appreciated moments of the visit: the meeting with the artisan chocolatier. Everything here is made on-site using traditional craftsmanship.
In the small boutique workshop, pralines are crafted right before your eyes. The chocolatier takes time to explain the process, answer questions and share their passion—and of course, offer tastings. Visitors often react with delight, surprise and simple pleasure. Many leave saying it was the best chocolate they have ever tasted.
At the Belgian Chocolate Village, visitors often express the same joyful reactions: Mmm, it smells like chocolate! , Amazing! , or The chocolatier is passionate and fascinating! . The attentive and friendly staff contribute greatly to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The chocolate sculptures, sometimes spectacular, spark curiosity. Visitors even learn that they can be eaten without melting—an amusing and intriguing discovery for both children and adults. The visit becomes a true shared experience, blending discovery, indulgence and wonder.
Combining industrial heritage, artisan craftsmanship and pure culinary pleasure, the Belgian Chocolate Village offers a sincere and generous experience—one where visitors take the time to look, smell and taste.
