An ideal visit if you enjoy experiences that awaken the senses and tell a delicious story, to be enjoyed with family, as a couple or with friends, during a getaway in the heart of Brussels.
In the historic heart of Brussels, Choco Story Brussels opens the doors to a world where chocolate is told, touched, smelled and tasted. Here, discovery is both playful, interactive and deliciously indulgent, designed to awaken the curiosity of visitors of all ages. From the very first rooms, it becomes clear that chocolate is not just a treat, but a true cultural and sensory heritage.
The visit takes you on a journey through the discovery of the brown gold, from the harvesting of cocoa beans to the making of the famous Belgian pralines. More than 600 collection pieces line the exhibition, illustrating production techniques and the evolution of chocolate through the centuries. From the first Mayan civilizations to the present day, each stage is explained with clarity and passion, creating a constant dialogue between history and craftsmanship.
Each room offers a distinct atmosphere, inviting visitors to slow down and explore. The route flows naturally from one theme to another, guided by the desire to understand how this product became one of Belgium’s most beloved culinary symbols.
At Choco Story Brussels, the visit goes far beyond simply looking. It is an experience to be fully lived. Visitors can smell the ingredients used in ancient chocolate drinks and compare Mayan and Spanish recipes. Different types of chocolate can be tasted to discover their nuances, understand their composition and refine the palate.
The favourite moment for many visitors remains the demonstration by the master chocolatier, who crafts pralines in a traditional way. The gestures are precise, the explanations passionate and the tasting that follows rarely leaves anyone indifferent.
An audioguide accessible to all accompanies the visit, allowing visitors to dive even deeper into the story of chocolate. Narratives intertwine with the objects on display, making the discovery lively and accessible even for those exploring this world for the first time. Visitors particularly appreciate the richness of the content and the variety of atmospheres that keep the experience engaging from beginning to end.
The visit generally lasts between one hour and one hour and thirty minutes, an ideal duration to immerse yourself without rushing while leaving a pleasant desire to prolong the experience.
Chocolate enthusiasts can go even further by adding a complementary experience, such as a chocolate bar making workshop. A unique opportunity to get hands-on and leave with your own creation while gaining a concrete understanding of the chocolatier’s craft.
