Situated between Liège and Maastricht, Blegny-Mine is ranked a UNESCO World Heritage site.

This exciting tour includes a descent of 30 to 60 metres into the underground galleries of this authentic coalmine via the original shaft, for an enriching insight into the work and daily lives of the "Black Faces".

You can opt for a choice of 2 tours:

1. Mine Tour (self-guided tour of the permanent exhibition and the slag heap biotope included).

Learn all about the life cycle of coal, from mining to sale: you will descend 30 to 60 metres into the mine via the original cage to the coal face and underground galleries.

You will discover the washing and sorting equipment and how the coal was brought up to the surface and transported.

The tour layout is easy; the only difficulty consists of two stairways.
The tour is therefore suitable for all ages.
