Grand-Hornu - CID
Classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site since July 2012, Grand-Hornu is a jewel of 19th century European industrial heritage.
A property of the Province of Hainaut since 1989, this former colliery, built in the early nineteenth century, is one of the most significant windows of contemporary art in Belgium today.
In addition to promoting architectural riches cited right from the nineteenth century, the MAC's and CID teams focus their activities on contemporary art and organise international contemporary art and design exhibitions.
Guided tours by prior booking and audio guides available for rental. Free on the first Sunday and first Wednesday of each month for schools.
