The Centre de la Gravure et de l'Image imprimée (Centre for Engravings and Prints) is a huge exhibition space of 1,200 m², spread over 3 spacious and illuminated levels.

6 to 12 temporary exhibitions are organised here each year (monographic or historical tours, thematic ensembles, exploration of a specific printing process, but also the virtual image and its new printing media).

Numerous other events are organised outside the walls, both in Belgium and abroad.

Pierre Alechinsky, Louise Bourgeois, Pol Bury, Jean Dubuffet, Anne Dykmans, Joan Miró, Kiki Smith, Antoni Tàpies, Luc Tuymans... More than 1,700 Belgian and international artists from the second half of the 20th century to the present day, make up the astonishing collection of almost 16,000 works housed at La Louvière, 10 rue des Amours.

The museum is entirely dedicated to contemporary printmaking, and offers a wide range of opportunities for encounters, reflection and initiation into contemporary graphic expression.

Every person has the opportunity to learn about contemporary printmaking through activities designed by the educational team: games, introductory workshops, printmaking courses, professional workshops, educational packages, etc.

A range of activities have also been set up for family visits with children, including a barda-game, the games trails, the texts at a child's level.
